Update on Artist Adventures aka my Blog!

So 2016 is coming up and I been thinking of big changes. And I mean huge! By this I mean, coming up with new things for "Art Adventures" aka my blog if you guys did not know! :( Haha. Well anyways I been thinking how I want to change the blog into much more. Right now my blog is just like my everyday writing place about my life or fashion outfits. I also include my youtube videos if you guys follow me there. For 2016 I want to step out of the plate. And by this I mean make goals that I really want to accomplish for my blog and my youtube channel. So for Artist Adventures I been thinking about the name. I have not decided yet, but I might change the name. I don't know yet, it's just one of the ideas. But what I do know is that I want to try to make more post about certain topics. Such as fashion outfits, advice, book reviews, and much more. I want to change it up and create much more of what I offer. I will say that I have become a tiny bit better at making more videos and posts. It's still a learning process with me and time. Another idea is changing up the style. I have been working on new designs for my youtube channel and blog. Shh! It's kinda a secret. I have been working with other artists who will be helping me create these new ideas. I'am a bit excited for the new year and a bit scared. I hope 2016 is even better than 2015. I need to start making new resolutions. Hope you guys are having a great day.

A Walk in Grant Park

Hi Lovelies!
So lately I been into filming places and just capturing nature. This video I filmed was in Grant Park, which is located in Chicago. I decided to walk around a bit after my yoga class. Walking alone in the park makes me aware of my surroundings. I love walking around and getting to know places. Doing this builds a relationship between me and nature. Its also my sort of quiet place I like to go to and think.

Fine Arts meets Fashion

A quirky OOTD for the winter. For this outfit I focused on incorporating the arts more into the style. For a woman who loves expressing herself through her passion.

What is Writing in the 21st Century?

Hello! So this is another project video I made for my writing class. We had the choice to tell what we thought writing in the 21st century was in any form. :)

A Video Project

Greetings Bookworms! So for my retail class we had to help promote a retail brand. Me and my group picked on Branes&Noble. We each had a role to play. I was the visual manger, so I had to help the brand get  out there by image, videos, or any other types of visual form. I decided to make a video and had my groups as actors. The video was really fun and it turned out great! P.S. We are not promoting any things from Barnes&Noble in real life. Enjoy! :)

Agora Fashion Project

Hey Loves! So this is a a project I did with my Fashion class in Chicago! I vlogged the whole thing. This project was very important. We talked about all the negative things in the fashion world. Such as animal cruelty, child labor, fast fashion, and much more. Fashion is an amazing place we can express who we are as people. But we all must educated ourselves about where and how our clothing is made. I'm even going to be honest, I knew there were some problems, but not this much. Now that I know this I plan on researching more about different companies that cause these problems.

Winter Bohemian & Classy Ootd

Try a boho look this winter. Play around with texture and cozy turtleneck sweaters. If you're looking for a more fancier look then the second ootd is for you. Its school girl meets classy. Go for some nice frames and a classic white blouse with this look. You can pair it up with any color skirt you want. I prefer red. Hope you get some ideas! I'm Thankful For

Hey Lovelies! So its that time of year again where we all need to think about what we're thankful for Thanksgivings. But seriously, we should all be thankful everyday not just for the holidays. Just like I started for the first time last year: What I'm Thankful For; I will be doing the same again! This helps me refresh my life point of view. It reminds me that it is important to remember we must always be thankful for the amazing things and people we have in our lives.

I'm Thankful for:

    1. My Life
    2. My Parents

    3. My Sisters

    4. New Friends

    5. Old Friends

    6. Moppy and Liaka (My Dogs)

    7. My Aunts

    8. My Grandma & Grandpa

    9. My family's support

    10. Nature

    11. New Teachers

    12. Old Teachers

    13. My College

    14. My Job

    15. Food

    16. A House

    17. ART

    18. Inspiring people in my life

    19. My Yoga teacher

Thoughts on a Rainy Fall Day

Sometimes I just like to take in the tiny moments. Like right now. I'm just sitting down in a coffee cafe typing. Watching it rain outside the window.
               - Lizzie Monsreal

As each day goes by I learn so much new things. Throughout the months I have grown into a new person each day.
I have also had the best and worse days.
I know I'm not the only person but I have had those days where I would need to take a break and cry for a while. Crying is a healthy thing to do.
When I have my bad days I feel like giving up on what I'm doing.
I also ask myself if I'am making the right decisions at times.
When I have good days I feel like I can take on anything that comes my way.
I learned life is hard and not fair at times.
These are just my thought experiences.
This is what I do when I'm lost sometimes, I just write.
This paragraph is all over the place.
And I know.
But that is how my mind is right now.

My First Thrift Haul

Hello! So this is a video I made about my first thrift haul. I love thrifting! I can always find cool vintage clothing that at a very reasonable price. Also nice cloths that could cost more at a normal store. So this video is my very first thrift haul I have ever posted on my channel. I hope on making more of these in the future! :)

Update! News! I'm Alive!

Hello!
It has been such a long time since I actually posted something in writing. So I been taking a break and I am trying to get with my inner self. Through the whole summer I explored new places, met new people, and learned new lessons. I also been trying to find new inspirations. Sometimes I feel very drained because of all the energy I use up to create projects. So going out and seeing new things for once is great for me. I can do routines, but I like changing it up. So here is some news! For all of you lovies who have been curious to know what I'm up to.

So one I did get a bob! Here is a picture above of my recent hair. ;) So I have started college! I go to an art college so it's a bit different than a traditional college. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to be taking classes that I'm passion about. Now as I mention on my Youtube Channel, I want to do something in the fashion field. I'm not sure what yet, but I'm majoring in fashion design so far. I also want to sell my own art illustrations, paintings, and etc. I plan on making a video about my outfits of the week or on my blog, so keep a look out! Overall I have big plans I am currently working on...and new videos of course! So this is just an update I guess, yes I am still alive! Haha. Here is a seek peek of a room in my art school, it's a studio place where basically any artist can work in. I was staying up all day til night in that room. At night the windows look so beautiful, you can see the city from above. :)

Chicago's Pride Parade

So this summer I went to my very first pride parade! I loved it. I like how there was so much support toward this topic. I hope that from this point it only gets better for the world. Celebrating everyone's happiness to love whoever they want! :)

Tips to Know Before Getting a Bob Haircut

My Curled Bob

I been having so much fun playing around with my new bob. This is my bob curled for a birthday party I attended last weekend! I love the look. Reminds my of a vintage flapper, don't ya think? :)

My New Bob Haircut!

So on the last day of May I decided to chopped my hair off and by this I mean get a bob. I been wanting to get a bob for so long, but it was never the right moment to get it. I was planning on getting it the week of my birthday, but I didn't. My plan was when I get this haircut I wanted to feel change. In order for that to have worked I needed to finish everything of the old first. So I decide to cut it up after I graduate high school to get that feeling of a new start in life. They say the best way for a girl to feel new is to get a new haircut. I did not cry when they cut up my long locks; one I had this in my mind for a long time. And ombre needed to go! I loved it, but I got a job as a swimming teacher and there really would not have been a point to having my tips done again. I also wanted to go back to short hair again. My last short bob was when I was probably in 4th-5th grade. In the past I had my hair cut, but not as a short bob. I' am so glad that I waited for the right moment because I truly feel more fresh and new. I recommend  anyone a new haircut if they need a change. Even if it's not something big like a big cut. It could maybe just be dying the ends of your hair a certain color or getting bangs. I truly believe you'll feel something.

Puppies Find a Home

To the Dog Lovers,
I' am so happy to have found wonderful homes for the puppies! Here are some pictures of the puppies with their happy new owners! It was a great experience to have raised these puppies and see them grow. They grow up so fast! It was sad seeing them go, but it also gave me a proud feeling knowing that they would grow up in a family that would love them.

Here's a video I made showing all their first steps to their last. I think its a good idea to make these types of videos when you want to save a moment forever in your heart.

Congratulations CLASS OF 2015!

In my four years of high school I have failed, succeeded, and learned. Each year was filled with new experiences, new people, and new lessons. I still remember my first day of high school; I even remember what I wore! I have lived amazing memories that I will never forget and that have shaped me into who I'am today.
CLASS OF 2015! WE DID IT!

From here we start a new chapter of our life. I do not know what to expect in this new chapter, but I think that's a good thing. We will take a new path into our futures and learn new things. It may be sad to leave good memories behind, but it is only the beginning of a new adventure in our life. We are strong; believe in your dreams and never give up. I wish best of luck to everyone. Congratulations to all the graduates of Class of 2015! We made it! Hooray!!!

Puppy Love

To the Dog Lovers,
So my dog poodle, Moppy, had recently been pregnant back in February and gave birth to six beautiful puppies. With two boys and four girls. Sadly one girl died because it was too weak. This was Moppy's second time being pregnant, her first litter were six also and all of them survived. My poor Moppy though, I must say she is a trouper, being 45 in dog years. She was exhausted after giving birth, but then happy to see her children.
When Moppy was Pregnant Selfie.

After Moppy Gave Birth.
Now the puppies are three months old and they are playing all over the place. They are so fluffy and cute I want to cuddle them up. The two boy puppies are the most playful and the girls are more loving. Even though they are soon destine to find a brand new home I took the liberty to name them. The two boys names are Cafe and Tyrone. The girls names are Sprinkles, Sweetie, and Curly. Its really interesting to see them grow because they each have their own personality. Like Cafe and Tyrone are always playfully growling at each other. Curly is the puppy who hides and is the most scared out of all. And Sprinkles and Sweetie are the most friendly and like to lick a lot. So far the boys have homes already where they will meet their new family, but the girls are yet to be adopted. I sure hope they find new homes though soon. When Moppy had her first litter we kept one girl and named her Laika. Laika loves being a big sister, she is always cleaning up after her siblings and she likes helping Moppy bathe them.

Hmm your hand tastes good!

Hi my name's Tyrone!

The sisters Sprinkles and Sweetie are playing.

Nap time! Shhh!

Who would say no to this face?

Puppy burrito!
They are growing up to fast and I know I'll miss them. Hopefully the girls have a home soon too because it takes a lot of time to be able to care for a dog. All in all though it is nice to have some puppy love around. Sometimes we all get lonely at times and seeing them makes my day.

You Are my Sunshine!

Hello my Sunshines!
So far it's been getting sunny in the Windy City. Mother Nature has finally decided to give us some warm decent weather. Though there has been lots of rain. But I suppose that's normal because we are in April. And you know the old saying, April showers bring May flowers.

So with Spring here I have been busy trying to style some outfits for this lovely season. This outfit is inspire our beautiful star; the sun. I decide to in cooperate warm colors into this. I wanted it to have shades of orange and yellow. This OOTD (Outfit of the day.) is great for sunny days or walking down your nearest mini boutiques. When people look at this I want them to get a garden vibe sense. Spring is when fresh blooms finally start to appear from their long dark hibernation. Enjoy it while it last, take a walk and smell the flowers. Hope all of you enjoy the sunshine.

A Lovely Movie

Hello Beautifuls!
Lately in my life I have fallen in love with this wonderful movie called, Love Rosie. Lucky for you because today I will be talking about the movie, my thoughts, and life lessons I learned from this movie. Love Rosie has become one of my favorite romantic movies, I'm definitely putting it on my list. Now before I start talking about the movie, just know there is a book to this too. The book is written by Cecelia Ahern. I have not read the book yet, but I plan on reading it and when I do I will make a book review on it.

"Love, Rosie"

The Movie:
(Before you read this, please know some spoilers may happen.) So where should I start? The main reason I truly believe is how I fell in love with this movie was by the characters. So let me lay it all down for you lovely dolls before I start confusing everyone here. So there's two main characters, Rosie, who is played by Lily Collins(who by the way has such beautiful eyebrows!) and Alex, who is played by Sam Claflin(who is quite dashing!) ;) So Rosie and Alex are best friends, the movie takes place between their teens to adult life's. Alex and Rosie have a plan to go off to college and dorm after high school. But the plan doesn't work out because Alex only goes but not Rosie. Now the reason why she doesn't go is because Rosie becomes pregnant, which by the way she doesn't tell Alex about, but he does eventually find out. So the whole part of the movie has a true real question. Are they meant to be just friends or more than friends. By the end of the movie they know that they are meant to be but life is always getting in between. Don't worry I won't spoil the ending for you guys but I must say it is truly such an amazing story to be told.

My Thoughts:
I just love this movie so much! The characters in this movie are absolutely an inspiration. The story plot is great. I liked how this was a best friend relationship, then seeing it progress to a love relationship. This speaks the truth in all relationships. When counting on someone in a relationship, it is like your counting on a best friend. Being in a best friend level can have so much more of a benefit to the relationship. In the movie there's this scene where  Alex is about to leave and him and Rosie are at the airport saying their goodbyes. Now this scene spoke to me. In this scene Rosie and Alex are about to kiss, but they don't. This is a very important part to me in the movie because that scene showed me at that moment how they both truly felt about each other. They both had passed that level of best friends. And I knew from that moment that they were going to embrace this forward on.

My favorite part in this movie!!!!

Life Lessons:
So to end this I will tell you what I have learn from this beautiful movie. One of the very first things that I learned is that having a relationship that offers having a best friend is really important. I believe this because a relationship is more than just the physical stuff, it requires friendship in order to understand one another. Rosie and Alex shared such great friendship in this movie that even though they dated other people at certain times in the movie, those people never understood each other quite well as they did towards one another. Another thing that I learn is to follow your heart, as cheesy as this sounds it is true. In the movie Alex and Rosie both listen to their hearts and have these deep emotions that they know they are meant for each other. And last but not least to follow your dreams, in the movie Rosie had a dream to own her own hotel and even though throughout the other years she wasn't with Alex; she didn't give up. Rosie showed that even though she wasn't very happy with her love life at that moment she still didn't let it bother her and achieve that dream to make herself happy. Never give up on anything! Even when you have a kid like Rosie did, because she never gave up. I hope you guys enjoyed this movie review and at least check it out! It's a lovely story to tell. Now to finish it up I will leave you with the trailer so that you can check it out.
Xoxo, Lizzie

Sweet February Outfits

Hello Lovelys,
Hope your February is going sweet as candy. These are some OOTDs I styled for this month. I hope you get inspiration from it and enjoy this pink month. For the ladies this style is going more on the boho and girl side. For the gentlemen, since 50 Shades of Gray, the movie, did come out on Valentine's Day for this month I decided to go for that theme. Feel free to comment below your thoughts on these. :)

Talent Show Ballerinas!

Dear Beautifuls,
So me and my twin sister, Laura, performed at our school's talent show this year. We danced ballet to the song Keep Breathing, by Ingrid Michaelson. I'm glad to say this was the best performance I felt I put my soul into. By this I mean I felt one with the music. This song is really important to me and speaks a message for everyone. I remember before we went out to perform I was nervous and at the beginning at our dance, but once we continued longer I felt emotional to the music and I just let everything out. I felt powerful and FREE. Once the music was over I felt as if though all my negative energy and burdens were gone. Now to some of you this may sound weird, but its like this; weather your a dancer, painter, bakery, or any creator of anything, you're creating something, but not just anything, you're incorporating a part of your life into it. And that's when you feel most passionate for it.

Chilly January

Hello Beautifuls,
Imagine walking through the city's snowy wonderland, while heading to get some delicious hot chocolate. Today's outfits are fun to pick from. Either go with the more hipster comfy look and feel more within your inner boho. Not into the bohemian look? No probably, pick the second outfit which includes an edgy taste and street look. These outfits are fun to play around with and remake, by using different pieces that still resemble the same style. I hope you loveys got an idea or got inspired. Make sure to try any of these outfits and let your inner fashion come out.
